World’s Largest Puzzle Collection

“When puzzle fanatic Laurie Brokenshire’s collection of brainteasers soared past 10,000 he faced a dilemma about where to store them. But true to form Laurie, 56, came up with the right solution. Unfortunately it involved spending $40,000 and adding an extra room on to the end of his house. The extension is kitted out with glass cabinets to display the smaller examples and on the ceiling there is a maze he designed himself. All through the five-bedroom house the walls are decked out with optical illusion ‘magic eye’ pictures. And an upstairs room is piled high with cardboard boxes labelled ‘dexterity’, ‘mazes’ and ‘puzzling objects’ to name just three. Some of his puzzles are worth thousands of pounds and he even keeps some by his bed so he can solve his way to sleep. Guests to his special puzzle themed dinner parties are left bamboozled because they have to solve a puzzle to find out where to sit.” w/ photos
