“A couple diagnosed with swine flu 48 hours before their wedding ceremony were determined not to let it ruin their big day – so they wore matching surgical masks and latex gloves. Jeremy Fierstien and Ilana Jackson, both 26, decided to proceed with the ceremony after doctors assured them guests would not be put at serious risk. To be sure, they also stayed 10ft away from friends and family at all times, even walking around the gathering instead of down the aisle at a synagogue in Highland Park, a wealthy American town on the north shore of Chicago.” w/ photo by Duron Studio
