Stripper On The Subway

“It’s certainly one way to brighten up an otherwise dull commute. And if the reactions of the passengers on this New York subway train are anything to go by it certainly made quite an impression. This photoshoot of 19-year-old actress Jocelyn Saldana lasted just 30 seconds and was the ‘creation’ of photographer Zach Hyman. His modus operandi is to arrive in a crowded area, have his model quickly disrobe and take 10 shots in 30 seconds before they are stopped. On this occasion one female passenger started screaming, while an elderly man next to her got the shakes. According to Hyman, ‘photographing females in public is easier than males.’ ‘People see a naked woman and they smile,’ he said. He has also staged his particular style of impromptu photoshoots in Times Square and Chinatown. When he sets out on his photoshoots he always make sure he has enough money to pay bail if necessary and takes along a lookout to watch for approaching police.” w/ photos
