“Meet a man who’s either very skilled, or just has way too much time on his hands.”

“So why did I decide to build an NES? I think mainly just to see if I could. I’ve never done something I would consider ‘art’ or ‘sculpture’ in LEGO and I really wanted to give it a try and see if I could recreate something directly to scale. I must say that it was a real challenge to get the dimensions and proportions correct, but I think I managed. The console, controllers, and cartridge are all within about a 1/16 of an inch of the actual dimensions. The TV was not really based on anything and was just my own little 13†TV creation.” w/ photos

“When David Spearman bought his new house, he thought the bottom of his garden would be perfect for a vegetable patch. The only snag was that it happened to be up a sheer 50ft cliff. Undeterred, he took inspiration from the home improvement shows he loves to watch on TV and built a wooden tower with six flights of stairs to scale the chalk cliff. The $15,000, 90-step tower, which took six months to build, not only allows the IT worker and his wife Moira to reach the end of their garden, but the top also doubles as a patio with decking, a table, four benches and a superb view of the River Medway.” w/ photos

“Fred Lebain is not scared of the mundane or clichés. Instead, he plays with them, superimposing their images on one another. Last spring, Lebain took images of various areas in new york city, each one of them an occasion of a ‘first visit’ to the location, in which he photographed and then printed in large poster format. Later, he returned to the same spots for a second visit, capturing a larger framed shot in which he aligned the poster documenting his first visit to the current scene.” w/ photos

“This is one of the most effective pocket hand saws we have ever used… The SaberCut is designed to cut through the hardest wood and is so flexible that it will work well in tight or confined spaces. Unlike other premium outdoor saws, the SaberCut has a flexible blade for cutting from a variety of angles and in places where you have little clearance. The 24-inch patented flexible chain saw blade has bi-directional, self-cleaning cutting teeth to ensure smooth, fast action. While a standard chain saw blade cuts in only one direction, the patented SaberCut blade cuts in both directions. The result is more efficient and less strenuous cutting. In addition, the cutting teeth are self-cleaning and require little maintenance beyond standard care and occasional sharpening. When sharpening is needed, use a standard chain saw blade sharpening kit. SaberCut is specially treated to help retard rust and corrosion.” w/ photos

“There have been many musicians over the years that have taken their image as being larger-than-life badasses a little too far. Some of these artists even started to believe that they were as invincible as they portrayed themselves in their music and lifestyle. This outrageousness needs to be addressed, so we’re putting these artists in check.” w/ photos
