November 26, 2008

“Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford today was so impressed by a park improvement plan presented by a 13-year-old middle schooler that he signed her to a $10,000 contract as a consultant. Langford appointed Raven Hatcher, a student at W.J. Christian School, to work with the city on plans for Ensley Park after she made a presentation to the City Council for park and community improvements.” w/ video
