“A man had to have a pound of steel ball-bearings removed from his bottom after a bomb went off under his chair. Wen Hsueh, 28, had been sitting in a tea house in Longtang, south-east China, when the bomber hurled two home made devices into the room. One failed to detonate but the second landed under Mr Wen’s chair, seriously injuring him and a girl, ten, who was nearby.
