Psychedelic Furniture

“Now we continue in the same groove, bringing to you the wildest furniture ideas – and more temptation to dump your current boxy bedroom sets and go for their “Mad IKEA in the Wonderland” variety.” w/ photos
World’s Most Impressive Rock Formations

“Rock formations are amazing creations of nature. These magnificent rock formations have been sculpted by nature through weathering and erosion hundred to million years ago. There are numerous scenic and spectacular rock formations from around the world. Here are some of them…” w/ photos
Implanted Frog Webserver

“Garnet Hertz has implanted a miniature webserver in the body of a frog specimen, which is suspended in a clear glass container of mineral oil, an inert liquid that does not conduct electricity. The frog is viewable on the Internet, and on the computer monitor across the room, through a webcam placed on the wall of the gallery. Through an Ethernet cable connected to the embedded webserver, remote viewers can trigger movement in either the right or left leg of the frog, thereby updating Luigi Galvani’s original 1786 experiment causing the legs of a dead frog to twitch simply by touching muscles and nerves with metal.” w/ photos + videos (scroll down)
Creative CD Packaging

“The cover design stands on its own too and plays along nicely with the overall concept. Designed by Jeff Harrison of Rethink Communications in close collaboration with the band, the cd unfolds to reveal a dollhouse complete with detailed interiors (that were made in miniature and photographed), a fold in roof, the cd as the feature shag carpet rug and popup characters of the band you can snap off and place inside.” w/ photos (scroll down)
The Fab Four’s First Contract

“When four fresh-faced musicians signed a contract with manager Brian Epstein, they could only have imagined the fame and fortunes coming their way. They could never have dreamed that the paper to which John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr added their signatures would one day be worth ÂŁ250,000.” w/ photos
The Speed-Vest

“The SPEED-VEST is a bicycle safety device and advocacy tool which displays the wearer’s current speed on their back in easy-to-read lighted numerals. Originally conceived by Brady Clark and engineered by Mykle Hansen, it just won the Hub Bike Shop’s Bike Gadget Contest in Minneapolis, MN.” w/ photos
Jay Leno’s Tank Car

“The heart of the Tank Car is the 1792 cid V-12 Continental-designed, Chrsyler-built tank engine that in turbocharged form puts out something like 1,600 hp and 3,000 ft-lbs. of torque. The engine alone weighs 2,000 lbs and easily qualifies Jay’s car in this year’s featured 20+ liter class.” w/ photos
Adidas Snowboard Boots

“Adidas has produced a limited edition of snowboard boots. The design is based on the Forum (first introduced in 1984). They have decided to go with the well-known white/red colorway and also incorporated a lot of nice details, including lace tips, outsole pattern, mesh on the midsole and more. The boots will only be offered to selected VIP/Friends of Adidas as they are produced in a limited edition of 50.” w/ photos
Portable Man-Sized Guitar Hero

“No offense to the Nintendo DS version of Guitar Hero, but when I’m pretending to be Mick Mars the last thing I need is to be fumbling around with some tiny gaming handheld. One modder has felt my pain and hacked a wireless PS2 guitar to integrate with Guitar Hero: On Tour and allow full-out faux instrumental jamming.” w/ photo + video
