“Ever since Atari almost went bankrupt on the video game adaptation of ET, the quality of video games based on movies has been going up ever so slightly. For the most part, movie licensed video games are still a product, still designed mainly to push a brand, but Hollywood’s starting to learn to let the game developers do their thing and put out a good game that has longevity and replay value rather than just shovelware. The rushed, crap movie games are still out there, but they’re being outshined by high budget, high quality titles.
